Our Trip to Patzcuaro

Last week, Nora and I broke away from our schedule to visit the Magic Pueblo of Pátzcuaro. We stayed three nights at a beautiful hotel (Hotel Parroquia) on one of the local squares named after a local hero.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gertrudis_Bocanegra. We visited many interesting sights and saw some of the most beautiful country-side imaginable. The State of Michoacan is truly a wonder. We are looking forward to returning and continuing where we left off. This town is only a few hours from San Miguel. There is an interesting museum devoted to the history of many local crafts. At the Museo de Artes y Ofícios, we learned that there are small villages in the area devoted to the manufacture of specialty products such as furniture, copper, ceramics, jewelry, guitar making, textiles,etc.https://magicaltowns.mx/michoacan/ They have been producing these products for hundreds of years On our next trip, we plan on visiting most of these towns. The furniture town of Cuanájo was close by. So we went there and purchased 4 chairs…..all of which needed sanding staining and varnishing. Anyway….check out some hyperlinks….. you might enjoy them. Then….come and visit.
